Bret graduated from Texas A&M, class of 2001, with a degree in Geography. In 2004 he returned looking to shift his career path, completing a Master’s in Landscape Architecture in 2007 with Honors. Since 2007, Bret has worked under Pat Dean at Carrillo Dean Landscape Architecture and more recently Structure Landscapes. At CDLA, Bret gained valuable experience in commercial and multifamily landscape design. While at Structure Landscapes, Bret became a licensed irrigator and was responsible for all of the in house design work (everything from detailed stone work to high end residential and large scale irrigation projects).

In 2012, taking a leap of faith, Bret ventured off on his own, creating what is now BRE Studio. Immediately he took on a variety of work, including stone entry way monuments and walls, large scale landscape, and irrigation design.
